Is Huckabee a Liberal?

We have been great supporters of Mike Huckabee since he was only at 2% in the polls. I like his debating ability and straight answers when other candidates try to dodge the questions. I agree with his stands on the issues.
Lately I have heard so much talk of how Mike Huckabee is a liberal. I have even heard that Rush Limbaugh stated that the Republican party is going to be destroyed if Huckabee or McCain get the nomination. McCain is a terrible candidate and this I know.
However I have not been able to find out why Huckabee is being called a liberal. If anyone out there can explain to me why Huckabee is such a liberal and why McCain, Romney, or Paul are better candidates, I would greatly appreciate an explanation. I am tired of people labeling him a liberal. I want real examples to prove that he is liberal and real reasons why others are more conservative.

I would sugest wikipedia profile on mike huckabee. They also have links on where they get the information. Also one comment that he made on 14 January 2008; Huckabee said "I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution. But I believe it's a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God. And that's what we need to do -- to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards rather than try to change God's standards so it lines up with some contemporary view."

The problem with this statement is that if you study the history of the United States, you will see that God was the primary focus of the constitution. example . The 1st amendement: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

If the constatution is so eisily redifined and chainged to sute the people in power; Then our Religouse freedoms that we hold so dear are in jepordy.Due to the fact that each denomination and religion hold their own views as to what is the correct interpatation of who God is and what are His principles.
